Location

Cardiff, the capital of Wales is an exciting, well positioned place to live.  Only two hours train ride to London, and other European destinations a short hop away with Cardiff International Airport, there is plenty to do on your doorstep.  Cardiff is the gateway to South Wales, with the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park a short journey away not to mention the cliffs and beaches of the Gower Peninsula.  These areas have something for everyone from extreme sport lovers to those who want outstanding food, matched by its location.

Shopping

If you like shopping you have come to the right place!  A unique mix between the independent retailers in the Victorian arcades and the high street brands in the new shopping complexes create an enjoyable shopping experience.  Cardiff is constantly developing with new shopping centres being built as you read this, attracting more retailers to Cardiff all the time.

Food and Drink

Cardiff has a huge variety of place to wine and dine, with different areas of the city offering different attractions.  Mermaid Quay in Cardiff Bay has an ever growing number of places to eat and drink, with a view out over the Bay, whilst the city centre houses a whole range of different places to suit every taste in food, drink and music.

Entertainment

It is impossible to get bored in Cardiff with the amount of entertainment available!  From the 2000 year old castle to the latest technology in the cinemas and techniquest, everyone will find something to their taste.  Cardiff boasts a number of different venues for arts and theatre lovers with an abundance of galleries and craft stores to browse. For those who prefer it alfresco take a wander or bike ride along the river Taff in Bute Park or else take a picnic for a lazy lunch in the fairytale grounds of Castle Coch.

Sport

For sports lovers the Millennium Stadium is a haven, hosting many different events, not to forget the Cardiff Arms Park, home of the Cardiff Blues and Cardiff RFC.  Also in and surrounding Cardiff are several golf courses, ice rinks, swimming pools and fitness clubs.

Students

For students Cardiff will offer you some of the best years of your life whether it be by attending the University of Cardiff or the University of Wales Institute (UWIC).  Thanks to the large number of students in Cardiff, it gives the city a vibrant atmosphere, and always guarantees a good night out, with many venues catering especially for students, both during the day and the night.

Transport

Cardiff has an excellent infrastructure, with frequent buses to all areas of the city, whilst the trains serve the surrounding area.  Surprisingly for a capital city, it is still easy to drive around with ample parking in the city centre.
